Visa IT System Shutdown
for the Processing and Issuance of Entry Visas
Please be advised that from 10:00 PM (Karachi time) on February 12, 2026, until 4:00 AM (Karachi time) on February 19, 2026, the VIS operating system will be temporarily shut down.
This is a planned and urgent technical intervention that will temporarily suspend the reception and processing of visa applications, as well as the issuance of entry visas. This suspension will affect both the visa office at the Embassy of Italy in Islamabad and the centers managed by the outsourcer BLS International (https://theitalyvisa.com/).
Please be advised that, to minimize inconvenience to users, previously scheduled appointments will be rescheduled for the days immediately preceding or following the period affected by the shutdown, taking into account priority needs and urgent cases.
